Some people have learned that you can make fantastic money working as an internet model. But what exactly are all the benefits? And what exactly is internet modeling?
Internet modeling is a job you do from home via computer, webcam and high-speed Internet access. You flirt and chat with potential clients via webcam for free. When someone wishes to take you into a paid show, then you are paid for your time.
It’s highly lucrative. The more paid shows you have and the more people viewing that show, the more money you make. The more time you put in, the more money you generally earn, too.
It’s safe. Since you are using a pseudonym and working remotely from home, there is no personal physical contact. No one will know who you are or where you live.
It’s legal. Check your jurisdiction to be sure, but in most places in the world it is legal to do this work from home. You work as an independent contractor responsible for your own taxes, too.
You set your own hours. You can work whenever you are in the mood to work. It’s best to post your schedule online, though, so that your regulars will know when to find you online.
You get to work from home. And you get to work in your pajamas! How many people can boast that from their day jobs?
It’s fun! You will get lots of affirmative attention from men. Most internet models find this bonus to be an added boost to their self-esteem and confidence.
While most internet models don’t earn six-figure incomes, the potential is there. And there are some top models who do earn a low six-figure income. But they really work it hard – by studying it and putting in the hours.

Webcam Modeling Agencies and Studios Inadvertently Perpetuate the "Scam" Image of the Internet Modeling Business
Despite being fun and lucrative, adult work doesn't exactly have the most reputable image in the mainstream media. Never mind the fact that the pornography is a multi-billion-dollar business. It is the age-old double standard -- it's okay to quietly partake in sex work as a consumer, as long as you don't talk about it. But God forbid you are on the other end of the business, offering the much sought-after service! And pornography is such an unattractive word -- I much prefer the euphemism "Girlfriend Experience."
In any case, webcam modeling agencies and studios have gained a poor reputation in the general public as "scams" for a few reasons. Many people find it hard to believe that you can make such great money working from home whenever you want to. But I think the main reason people view this type of adult work as a scam is because webcam modeling agencies/studios generally tend to hire anyone and everyone they can find. The theory being that the cream will rise to the top and the "less attractive" models will just quit due to lack of client interest. The problem with that is the many disgruntled "less attractive" models who don't make the promised potential money. They go out there on the Internet bad-mouthing this business.
All this said, I would still advise that you give most applicants a chance even if they are just moderately attractive by conventional standards. Because personality plays a big role. My friends and I call it "SA" -- Sexual Aura. We all know individuals who may not be attractive by society's standards, but they have that certain something that turns you on.
Maybe the best thing to do is to play up the personality and "SA" aspect when hiring applicants when mentioning the money potential. Tell applicants that If they have the looks and/or the SA, and they're willing to work their butts off, then they can have the six-figure income prize. Setting a realistic picture for potential models may help to cure the "scam" image and bring this sex work to the forefront of safe and legal adult work options.

The Value of Naming Your VODs
Top webcam models have long known the value of naming their VODs -- Videos On Demand. Well, I shouldn't say "long known" because webcam modeling is a relatively new profession. In any case, internet models make money on the sales of their videos -- even while they are offline and sleeping. So how do you sell more videos? Give them creative, descriptive names. Studio/agency owners will sometimes do this for you but often they don't have the time. It's very important to give accurate and descriptive titles -- you don't want to piss off and mislead your customer base. But the longer and more juicy the title is, the better the VOD will sell -- over and over and over again. It may not seem like a lot of money at first for each little video snippet but it can really add up over time. On our network, the record for the Most Watched VOD of All Time is titled "Fuck Me Hard and Deep with My Legs in the Air, from Behind, Suck it, Doggy, Tease the Clit, Cum." As you can see, this is chock full of keywords! So whenever someone does a search for any of those words, this video will come up in the list. Keep this in mind when naming your VODs and you will soon be making extra income while you sleep.

The Secret to Getting Free Chat Customers to Take You into Private
Audio. Some webcam models keep the volume off during chat and some prefer to keep it on. A sexy voice can definitely help to sell a private show -- whether it's withholding it just for private clients or using your voice to entice them into show. Either way, just be certain that you don't give away too much of you. Don't get naked in free chat! If you show everything, what is someone's motivation to pay to take you into private? So many times I come to this site and check out our live feed only to see a male model fully naked and jerking off in free chat. Save it for private shows or work for free.
Notebook. Keep a journal of all your private shows. Note the dates, names, details, likes/dislikes -- everything you can remember after your shift. Next time a customer comes back and you remember such detail, you will make him feel so special. This is a personal experience. Porn is everywhere and it's cheap. This is expensive -- it's a connection and a unique experience found no where else. If you want to make six-figures as a webcam model, you have to go the extra step. This type of adult work, or sex work, is legal, safe and fun -- and can and should be extremely lucrative!

Why Don't All Webcam Models Make Great Money?
Webcam modeling or internet modeling as it's called is the safest form of adult work or sex work out there. And the best part is that it's legal and lucrative, too! To get started, you must be 1) 18 or over with a valid photo ID 2) have access to a computer in a private setting (preferably at home in a bedroom ) 3) have high-speed Internet 4) and own a webcam. Most webcam models work on a bed because it's most comfortable but you can set it up anywhere you're comfortable.
What makes webcam modeling so safe is that you use a pseudonym so that your customers don't know who you are. Some agencies or studios even allow you to block your home state or any state or country you wish from viewing your performances.
Also, since you are not physically in person with the clients, there is zero risk of STDs, rape, or physical harm associated with other forms of adult work or sex work. Most internet modeling agencies or studios will allow you to set your own schedule. Since you can work from home, this option is very appealing to many stay-at-home moms who can work their webcam job in the evenings.
Men are also employed as webcam models. Men need to keep in mind, though, that over 95% of the clients paying for webcam modeling services on the adult webcam sex chat sites are male. Therefore, if you are a strictly heterosexual male, you will not enjoy working as a webcam model. Very attractive women, in general, tend to make more money than very attractive male models. And attractive female models tend to make more than couples but there are always exceptions.
Average part-time models can make around $500-1,000/week putting in 10-20 hours, but top full-time models can and have made over $15,000 per month. To learn more about becoming a top full-time webcam model earning a six-figure income, check out our Internet Model Articles.
